Every Sri Lankan wedding carries its own mood, rituals, and love story. At BrideSriLanka, we celebrate real couples, real details, and the creative teams who bring them to life. If you were married recently or are tying the knot soon, you can submit photos and short clips for a feature on BrideSriLanka.com and our social channels. A feature preserves your day beautifully, credits your vendors, and inspires brides and grooms planning their own celebrations.
What we feature
We highlight full wedding days and intimate celebrations across Sri Lanka and the diaspora. From church ceremonies and poruwa rituals to seaside elopements and garden receptions, we showcase:
- Couple portraits, first look, vows, and first dance
- Bridal styling: makeup, hair, retinue, jewellery, saree or gown
- Décor and florals: bouquets, tablescapes, lighting, backdrops
- Fashion details: groom’s attire, accessories, rings
- Venue atmosphere: ceremony and reception spaces
- Candid moments: laughter, tears, speeches, and dances
We also welcome unique cultural touches—poruwa customs, oil lamp lighting, jayamangala gatha, kite or sparkler exits, homecomings, and destination shoots across Galle Fort, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, or the East Coast.
How to submit
Send a concise package with the essentials. Keep quality high and file sizes reasonable.
Photos and video
- 8–12 of your best images (a mix of vertical and horizontal)
- 15–30 second video clips or a short compiled reel
- Resolution guideline: 2000–3500 px on the long edge (JPG or PNG)
- Avoid heavy watermarks; discreet photographer marks are acceptable
- No filters that distort skin tones or colours

By sending assets, you confirm you have permission to share them publicly and, where applicable, that your photographer consents to publication with credit. If your images were shot under a usage-restricted contract, please obtain written approval from the photographer before submission.
Tips for a standout feature
- Curate tightly: Choose images that tell a beginning-to-end story. Eight excellent photos beat thirty average ones.
- Show variety: Include portraits, details, environmental wide shots, and a few emotive candids.
- Prioritise verticals for Reels: Provide at least 4–6 strong 9:16 frames to maximise social reach.
- Add the “why”: One short paragraph on your inspiration, traditions, colours, or budget choices makes your story memorable and helpful to other couples.
- Match credits to frames: If a photo highlights flowers, ensure the florist is credited. Correct spellings and Instagram handles help us tag vendors accurately.
- Name files clearly:

What happens after you submit
Our editorial team reviews submissions weekly. If selected, we will:
- Edit your story for clarity and flow.
- Select images and clips that best represent your narrative and vendors.
- Prepare the online feature for BrideSriLanka.com.
- Schedule promotion on Instagram and Facebook with appropriate tags and credits.
You will be notified before the feature goes live and receive social-ready captions and vendor tags. If your submission is not selected immediately, it may be queued for a themed roundup (e.g., coastal weddings, garden receptions, Kandyan bridal looks). Resubmissions with improved curation or additional vertical assets are welcome.
Rights and permissions
You retain your personal rights to the images you supply, and we credit the photographer and key vendors in every feature. By submitting, you grant BrideSriLanka a non-exclusive license to publish your provided photos, videos, and text on our website and social channels. If at any time a vendor requests an updated credit or tag, contact us and we will amend promptly.
Privacy options
Prefer a softer reveal? We can publish first names only or omit guest faces on request. Mention any privacy preferences in your email or DM.
